NVC Student Success Cohort Completes the First-Ever NLM Leadership Program

Last fall, history was made.

The Northwest Vista College Student Success Cohort became the first group to complete the NextLevel Mujeres Leadership Essentials Program, marking a powerful milestone in our mission to develop confident, intentional, and community-rooted leaders.

Over the course of the program, this group of emerging professionals showed up with courage, curiosity, and a genuine commitment to growth. Together, we explored leadership, communication, conflict navigation, self-awareness, and accountability; skills that support sustainable leadership.

From the very first session, the cohort demonstrated what it means to lean into growth. They engaged with vulnerability, practiced new skills, and challenged themselves to lead with clarity and purpose.

As the inaugural cohort to experience the NLM Leadership Development Experience, they have set a powerful foundation for future groups.

Impact Highlights:

• One participant accepted an Academic Director role

• One participant advanced into an Interim Team Lead position

• Two participants submitted Letters of Intent for leadership roles

• Increased confidence, visibility, and leadership readiness across the cohort
